"HOW MUCH WILL MY TITLE TRANSFER AND REGISTRATION BE?"

This is easily the most common question we get, and we understand why! However, this is often a difficult question to answer until you come face to face with one of our processors. The reason for this is because the State of Arizona has its own formula of calculating registration costs that is not easily calculable. There are also instances in which things happen that we (the processors) aren't aware of until the record is pulled such as an insurance suspension or late fees.

"THE ONLINE SYSTEM TOOK MY MONEY AND DIDN'T GIVE ME PROOF OF REGISTRATION, WHAT DO I DO?"

If you were successfully renewed online, any MVD or Third Party will have that record INSTANTLY. Therefore, we simply go into your record and print-off the registration. However, if it was not successfully done correctly, but money was still taken from your account, this issue needs to be brought up with the online sites customer service. As MVD nor Third Parties have connection to the online service known as "AZ MVD Now".

"NO ONE PRINTS OUT STICKERS ANYMORE, WHAT DOES AN OFFICER DO IF THEY RUN MY PLATE?"

After the State Software System switch over in April 2020, State MVDs, Third Parties, nor Self-Help Kiosks print-off physical stickers. So what happens when you're late on registration and aren't handed a sticker when you leave the office? Will an officer pull you over and give you a ticket? Of course not! Whenever you go into a physical office such as State MVD or Third Party, you leave with the physical registration to show your most current expiration date. Officers see this immediately as well and HAVE to run your plate in the system before they pull someone over. We can assure you have been renewed successfully and honestly.

"I'M MOVING, WHAT DO I DO ABOUT MY STICKERS BEING SENT TO MY OLD ADDRESS?"

At Sonoran Tags and Title, it is our utmost concern to help you (the customer) as efficiently and smoothly as possible. During this time when many people's lives are being shifted around, it is understood that moving homes is not uncommon. As referenced in a previous question, when you come into a physical office, you leave with the guarantee that law enforcement has been updated of your registration status. With this, we recommend either getting a PO Box if the moving period is prolonged, or simply sending it to the address that will be active in the next two weeks.

“MY APARTMENTS ARE THREATENING TO TOW MY VEHICLE IF I DON’T HAVE A CURRENT STICKER, WHAT DO I DO?”

As of April 17th, 2020, no institution prints physical tabs. Items also not handed out physically as of that date are Titles, Metal Plates, and even Disability Placards. That goes for State MVD Offices, Third Parties, and even online providers such as AZ MVD NOW. So, if your property manager is basing the validity of your registration on your sticker and not your true registration, you need to report false towing to your local authorities. When coming to a physical office, you will receive you state receipt as well as your registration that remains in your vehicle. Tabs take approximately 2 weeks to get to your address provided.

I SOLD A VEHICLE AND CAN’T FIND MY TITLE, HOW DO I GET A TITLE IMMEDIATELY?”

As of March 2021, the State of Arizona has not provided an expedited shipping service for receiving titles in the mail. However, they have created a new form called a Title Transfer Bill of Sale. When filled out in it’s proper entirety, this form can be used in equivalent to a Title! The only downside to this form is that it can only be used if the Buyer is registering in Arizona ONLY. This form will NOT be recognized by other states as a valid Title.
